Out at grandpa's on Sunday afternoon the kids took a walk into the back field where they found a tree that had been spit in half by the ice storm. It was the perfect tree for climbing and so off they went. Ethan prefered to stay on the lower branches and was very cautious...while Christlyn's monkey roots came out and she climbed up, down and all around without any fear. Mommy even joined in on the fun and showed the kids how an experienced tree climber does it. It was a blast and I speak for all in the Berglind family who say...please, please, please leave the tree like that grandpa so we can climb on it again.

Happy Birthday to Ethan......Although Ethan's birthday party was last weekend, we planned on taking the kids to Incredible Pizza for fun and games on his actual birthday. What a wonderful surprise to us that grandpa and grandma arrived in town the same day and what was suppose to be a family dinner/game night turned into a party.
Everyone had fun riding rides, playing games, and just being together as a family.
Did I mention that Dorian likes having a Brother-in-Law in town. He and Daniel were like little kids jumping from game to game.

Off to the races we all went. Jennifer tried her hand at driving Nascar...i think she spent most of the time trying to stay on the virtual track. Meanwhile Daniel and Ethan paired up against Dorian and Christlyn on the go-cart track for race of their own.
Daniel and Ethan won...but a rematch wasn't far off for Dorian and Daniel.
Ethan tried to take the skill and knowledge of a winning go-cart race car driver to help Aunt Jennifer out on the Nascar track but was unsuccessful in achieving a win.
Off to the bumper cars went Great-Grandpa, Michelle, Ethan, and Christlyn for a truly memorable ride. We were all quite astonished at Great-Grandpas skillful manuevering of the bumper cars and quite literally 'felt' his top rank experience as he bounced our own cars back and forth on the floor. Ethan figured out quickly how to drive and steer his car, while Christlyn didn't get it together until the last 30 seconds or so.

Before the night was over Daniel was able to talk Dad into playing a video game. We all grabbed our cameras to document the unprecidented event. It just goes to show you that ANYTHING truly is possible...lol. Once the time on the game cards ran out everyone settled down on the bleachers to watch Dorian and Daniel face off once more on the race track. Dorian put up quite a fight...but Daniel was victorious once again.
Although the evening was filled with unlimited fun and games, Christlyn couldn't get over not getting to play mini-golf and threw herself onto the floor next to the greens in a dramatic display of discontent. After taking a quick pictures I walked away and we all took to igoring her outburst. After about 15 minutes she came to her sense and rejoined the group...after an apology she helped with what is sometimes the most fun of the evening...ticket counting!!!
With the games and rides being over we settled back down in the dining room for ice cream and cinnamon rolls. Jadon was able to charm grandpa into a rather large cup of vanilla ice cream and downed the whole cup. It was a wonderful evening...Happy Birthday Ethan!!!February 14, 2008
Happy Valentines Day!!! Mommy went to Christlyn's class for her valentines party. The kids got lots of yummy snacks, sang songs to the parents, played games and then had fun exchanging valentines with one another. It was a lot of fun and Christlyn was so glad mommy got to be a part of it.

Up and Bouncing....
Ethan and Daddy tested out the Jupiter Jump this morning. With Ethan's Birthday Party on Saturday and our first rental only a couple of weeks away Dorian wanted to get a feel for what it would take to set up and tear down the unit. Of course a little bit of jumping was a must!!! I don't know if you can tell or not...but Ethan had the time of his life!!!

Christlyn and I fixed our hair in pig tails for Church tonight. It was Christlyn's idea for us to match because I was a teachers assistant in Daisies (church club) tonight. She definitely loved having me in her class and everyone got a kick out of our matching do's. 
Here's a picture of Jadon...getting around the house...he loves being a big boy who can crawl and pull up on anything and everything. I've had a couple of scares this week. He's so fast crawling and so quiet that he'll disappear when I have my back turned for a couple of seconds and I have to frantically search every nook and cranny of the house until I find him hiding and giggling in some corner...usually munching on his sock.

Another gorgeous day led us to the park after school. It reached 82 degree's according to my thermometer...WOW!!! Christlyn and Ethan didn't want to pause to have their pictures taken...but I forced them to sit for the camera before I let them go play because they were all in matching outfits (it was not planned). Of course I couldn't ever get all three of them to look at the camera at once...or at all in this picture...lol.
Off they were to play!!! Even Jadon enjoyed the playground and got to try swinging for the first time. He LOVED it!!!
All in all it was a wonderful afternoon. Now back home dinner, baths, and bedtimes...

Well, you know you're in Oklahoma when you have snow and warm weather all in one week. Today the mercury climbed up to 74!!! (thats 23C). And Christlyn and Ethan loved every minute of it. Dorian and I hardly saw them all day as they played outside from the time we got home from church until sunset when we had to hose them off and bring them in for dinner. Can't wait till tomorrow...it's suppose to be even warmer!!!

Friday Night...Family Fun Night!!! Tonight Grammy joined us for an evening of fun, games, and junk food!!! Ethan and Christlyn took turns playing Break the Ice with Grammy. Ethan was on a winning streak and won just about every game...while Christlyn was not so lucky and won only one. But she had a good attitude about it...which is a huge accomplishment for her!!! We took a break from game playing long enough to pig out on Chips with Nacho Cheese and Guacamole and a Strawberry Cake that Christlyn made. Christlyn and Ethan tried to get Jadon to join in on the fun...but he wasn't a big fan of what they consider "FUN". What better way to spend a Friday Night!!!January 31
Jadon's First Date with Grammy!!! Poor Jadon has just watched from the arms of his Mommy for the last 8 months as Grammy keeps coming and picking up either Christlyn or Ethan for a special date. But tonight was Jadon's night!!! Grammy came over and bundled him up and wisked him off to an evening of fun with her at Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Daniel's house. Grammy said he was an angel (of course) and that she can't wait for their next date! Jan 31 SNOW!!!
Ethan woke up from his nap and joined in the wintery fun. He and Daddy made another snowman to keep Christlyn and Mommy's snowman company. Then Christlyn and Ethan joined forces against Daddy in a snowball fight. Unfortunately he's even less of a Canadian than Christlyn and quickly returned to the warmth of the house to simply watch the last of the snowflakes fall.
